Volunteering at PBSA
PBSA is proud to be a volunteer-run organization, providing the young people of our community with a safe and fun place to play ball. PBSA cannot function without volunteers—it requires all members to contribute in some way.
Volunteer Requirements
In past years, PBSA has established the following volunteer system:
-
Volunteer Credits: Each member family is required to achieve a minimum of 10 volunteer credits per season, per child.
-
Special Roles: Roles such as Park Parent and 50/50 are crucial to the organization but are not associated with your team. We encourage families to consider volunteering in these important roles.
-
End of Season: At the end of the season, the PBSA Volunteer Coordinator will verify that enough credits have been earned. Volunteer cheques will then be destroyed or cashed as required.
Additional Notes
-
Opportunities to earn volunteer credits may sometimes be limited. In many cases, more than 10 credits may be needed to fulfill all requirements for your child’s team.
-
Teams are expected to distribute volunteer credits evenly among all families.
